Follow Up of the Day: Tommy Jordan, the former Marine who made waves last week with a video of himself putting his own laptop out of its misery, was visited by Child Protective Services officials as well as local police officers in the wake of his Internet stardom.
The Child Services agents reportedly interviewed the Stanly County, NC man and his daughter separately, but took no action. The police, however, did have something to say to Jordan: “Kudos.”
“I actually had a “thank you” from an entire detectives squad,” Jordan wrote in a Facebook post published over the weekend. “And another police officer is using it in a positive manner in his presentation for the school system. How’s about those apples? Didn’t expect THAT when you called the cops did you?”
Many people apparently called to ask Albermarle police what was being done about the angry dad, but were told there was nothing that could be done as Jordan lives outside city limits, and therefore outside police jurisdiction.
Speaking with Channel 9, a Stanly County Sheriff’s Office spox said Jordan broke no laws, and an investigation would not be launched.

Random Thoughts
I sit here with my mind going a mile a minute. I am again having problems sleeping. For the past five years I have been having trouble with insomnia. I wish more than anything to be asleep at this time. But I am worrying about my classes, my kids, what I have to do tomorrow. As I sit here at almost five in the morning I wonder why I have so much trouble shutting my mind down. It’s not like my grades are bad I’m making a 95 in my International Management Classes and a 87 in my Organizational Behavior class. My youngest son is doing great in school. We have come a long way since he was diagnosed with severe AD/HD. My husband and I have worked hard to become advocates in his school for not only him but those diagnosed with AD/HD in his school. I even go three times a week to visit his school just to check to see how he’s doing. We also have meetings three times a month with his teacher, counselor, and principal. My oldest son is starting to calm down with his rebellious stage and is understanding that family is very important and communication is key to helping him adjust better with everyone. So why am I sitting here blogging instead of sleeping? Well probably I’m thinking about things that need to be done around here. I’m thinking how I need to wash the boys walls in their room before we re-paint their rooms. I need to clean the ledges before we paint. And what needs to be fixed for this month. Apparently my boys like to write on the walls and they think that their walls are a graffiti zone. So now I have to buy chalk board paint and dry erase paint to get them out of that nasty habit. Or maybe I’m thinking of what our grocery list should be for this next week. Did I remember to put milk on the list? Hmmmm…who knows. I just know I really need to sleep because sitting up this late is not doing anything but making me think of more things I need to do..lol

Seriously? Why?
I have a seriously why question. Seriously, why is it that some men can talk on twitter, fb, etc. but when it comes to their children, wives, any kind of friends and family they are so bad at communication? Why is it more important for you to post your opinions on these sites but you can’t even have one decent conversation with a person. I have so much more to say but screw it this person will never get it.
